International Tiger Day 2025
Roaring for Awareness, Education, and Action
At The New School Dhaka, we believe education isn’t confined to classrooms. It’s a path to understanding the world — and protecting it. This International Tiger Day, we raise our voice for the Royal Bengal Tiger, the national animal of Bangladesh and a living emblem of our strength, resilience, and heritage.
🌿 Why Tigers Matter
The Royal Bengal Tiger is more than just a majestic creature of the Sundarbans. It’s a symbol of national pride, featured in our folktales, stamps, coins, and classroom walls. Yet today, only a few hundred remain in the wild. Each tiger lost takes us a step closer to losing a part of our cultural soul and ecological balance.
📚 Tigers in Our Curriculum, Not Just in Memory
From Play Group to A Level, NSD students are taught the value of biodiversity and the importance of conservation. But stories alone aren’t enough. Our children should not grow up reading about tigers as a thing of the past — they deserve to live in a world where tigers still roam free.
💬 A Message to Our Young Learners
To all our NSD students — whether you’re discovering animals for the first time or debating global issues in class — remember:
Saving tigers means saving forests. Saving forests means saving Bangladesh.
You are the future, and your voice matters.
💚 What We Stand For
- Awareness through engaging education
- Empathy towards all living beings
- Action that contributes to a better world
Let’s roar together — not just for tigers, but for everything they represent.
🐾 Save Tigers. Save Bangladesh.
Let the roar of the Royal Bengal Tiger echo through generations — not as a memory, but as a living legacy.
