THE NEW SCHOOL DHAKA NEWSLETTER Session 2025–2026 | Volume 3 | September 2025

A Month of Motivation, Maps, and Mastery

September 2025 has been a vibrant and fulfilling month at The New School Dhaka. From academic competitions and global participation to student life skills and teacher development, the school community embraced opportunities for excellence, expression, and engagement.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH

Spelling Bee Competition (KG I to Grade 8)

The corridors buzzed with words, meanings, and enthusiasm as students from KG I to Grade 8 competed in the school-wide Spelling Bee. The competition sharpened vocabulary, boosted confidence, and nurtured a love for language among participants across grades.

Bangladesh Map Exhibition (Grade 1 to 10)

Students from Grades 1 to 10 put their creativity and geography skills to the test in the Bangladesh Map Exhibition. Hand-drawn maps, labeled regions, historical routes, and natural landmarks reflected an inspiring blend of accuracy and artistry.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony

Winners and participants of the Spelling Bee and Map Exhibition were honoured in a joyful certificate distribution ceremony. The recognition of effort and achievement fostered motivation and school pride.

Ariana Represents NSD in International Karate Event

We are proud to announce that Ariana, one of our dedicated martial artists, represented The New School Dhaka in an international karate session. Her dedication and discipline exemplify the NSD spirit of striving for excellence both within and beyond the classroom.

Life Skills Activity: Clean Your Own Shoes

In a hands-on life skills session, students practiced cleaning their own shoes — a simple yet meaningful exercise in responsibility, cleanliness, and self-care. The activity taught respect for belongings and pride in appearance through action, not words.

In-house Teacher Training: How to Motivate Students to Learn

Teachers gathered for a powerful internal training session led by senior educators on the theme ‘How to Motivate Students to Learn’. Strategies discussed included active listening, personalized feedback, learner autonomy, and encouragement of student voice. This session enriched the classroom culture with deeper empathy and purposeful pedagogy.

Edexcel October/November O & A Level Registration

The academic calendar moved forward with the completion of Edexcel O and A Level registrations for the October/November 2025 session. Students are now preparing for the external exams with focused dedication and teacher guidance.

Edexcel January 2026 IAL Registration Opens

Planning ahead, the school has opened registration for the Edexcel International Advanced Level (IAL) January 2026 session. Counselors and coordinators are supporting students and parents through the process to ensure a smooth academic journey.

Message from the Principal

“September has reminded us that every student can shine — whether through words, maps, discipline, or effort. Our duty as educators is to recognize and nurture that spark. I congratulate our students, teachers, and parents for making this month rich with motivation and meaning.”
Dr. Sabuj Ahmed, Principal
